If you haven't seen "Rivers & Tides" an intimate documentary about
artist Andy Goldsworthy, you've got to see it! The Fogmaster was
oblivious to this great film by Thomas Riedelsheimer. It wasn't until
Thomas spoke at a screening in San Rafael, CA, (after our shoot on
crumbling cliffs near Jenner, about an hour north of San Francisco)
that the Fogmaster finally wised up that this quiet, determined, German
guy might put him in another great film. The camera survived the sonic
rattling, so hopefully yours truly won't end up on the cutting room
floor. Thanks for the great time Thomas, Mark, and especially Michele.
Click on a picture below for a more detailed view. Thomas sets up the
camera boom, an amazing portable rig. The camera must have been in
perfect focus, because he sure was. The horns were screaming!
Poor Mark the sound man!! His headphones were flapping! He was climbing
all over the cliffs to get some sound that wasn't blowing out his
equipment! That's why he didn't have to wear a coat or sweater. Michele
did everything else, the hardest working PA in the business! |
